Like everyone else this was our first game and there was much anticipation as to how things were going to go. With no Bundeena team last year it is a credit to all the players to 
get this team back together and get onto the field. Max Van Der Vleet has joined our team together with Tristan who played   for the 18s last year and  Daniel Fletcher.  Everyone else has come  back from other clubs, other codes and just a year off.

Unfortunately we went onto the field with only 9 of our players and  thanks to 3 very brave players from the 15s we had a full team.  Matt  Layland (Under 15s) was our goalie and what a great game he played for us.  Tim Shannahan and Mitchell Zammit were also fearless against the under 18s and we thank them so much because we had a real go at this game and could almost have snatched it away from Menai.

After some recruiting through the week we have signed up Cameron Maughan and Lewis Scott so we now have a full team except for the fact that Thomas Bawden is going away for 2 weeks holiday. All things considered, with a couple of our players who have never played soccer before and the fact that this was our 1st game together,  it was a great effort and they will only get better and better.

Thanks also to Peter Owen for being our Coach for the day and it was  fantastic to see Steve Walther (Our Coach) at the game to support our  players.  We all know how sick he has been and it was great to see him up and about.
