Match Report W15B - Sunday 25 May Against Lilli Pilli 1 Loss 3 - 0
A good team roll up with two reserves, gives us more strength and endurance.
Erin gave it her best for the first 10 minutes, to be subbed by Sandy . A small glitch in the mid field let Lilli Pilli break and we were at Nil - 0 at the 14th minute. Brooke showed presence and nerves of steel to fend off numerous attacks at goal. Sally and Naomi demonstrated tenacity and speed with tackling in defence.
A bumbled head pass to our goal keeper resulted in an own goal. In reply Katinka shot a ball to miss the net by millimeters. Sarah added substance to the play by continually pushing the up to the forwards.
Jess Whicker seemed to be the only player listening to the coaches instructions. Poor Justin
his voice was getting hoarser by the minute.
2nd Half started off quiet.
Sandy had a long run but pushed it too far and the goalie took it.
Jade had a few good runs got into the oppositions half. 15 minutes into the 2nd half L.P. broke through our defence and scored again.
We had 6 players in goalie box but no goal. Naomi got a ball straight in the side of the head and seemed to be out for a few seconds, but she was fine.
Erin good in defence and Sarah made a gutsy save right in the front of the goal.
In the dying moments Bundeena had a couple of chances at shooting a goal but narrowly missed.
